STUNT the sport

STUNT is one of the fastest-growing female sports in the country, transforming traditional cheer skills into a true head-to-head competition. Designed to highlight athleticism, precision, and teamwork, STUNT removes the crowd-leading element and focuses entirely on performance and execution.

Athletes compete in a game-day format where two teams go head-to-head, performing the same routines at the same time. Each routine is judged on execution, technique, and synchronization—making every point earned through skill and consistency.

What is STUNT?

STUNT is built on the technical foundation of cheerleading, including:

  • Partner stunts
  • Pyramids
  • Basket tosses
  • Jumps
  • Tumbling

These elements are performed in structured, fast-paced routines that challenge athletes to perform with strength, control, and precision.

STUNT is divided into four quarters of play, performed in the following order:

  1. Partner Stunts: Focuses on control, body positions, and synchronization between athletes.
  2. Pyramids & Tosses: Emphasizes teamwork, timing, and advanced stunt building skills.
  3. Jumps & Tumbling: Highlights athleticism, explosiveness, and technical execution of jumps and tumbling passes.
  4. Team Routine: A full routine where all elements come together to showcase overall performance.

The team that executes each routine with the highest level of precision wins the point.

Why STUNT?

STUNT was created to provide more opportunities for female athletes at the high school and collegiate level, helping schools meet Title IX requirements while expanding participation in competitive sports.

For athletes, STUNT offers:

  • A clear path to college recruitment opportunities
  • Increased focus on skill development and technique
  • A competitive format that builds mental toughness and consistency
  • Opportunities to grow as a well-rounded athlete in a structured, game-day environment

Who is STUNT For?

STUNT is perfect for athletes who want to:

  • Take their skills to a more competitive, sport-based level
  • Improve stunting, tumbling, and overall technique
  • Prepare for high school and college STUNT teams
  • Experience a new style of competition
We welcome athletes of all backgrounds and experience levels—whether you’re new to STUNT or coming from another athletic background and looking to elevate your performance.
